Supporting the work of SAZ

SAZ activities include the following

  • Propagating SAZ principles and objectives using educational tools such as the internet, videos, cassettes, DVDs, print media, bi-monthly newsletter, members’ interactive bi-monthly meetings, open public meetings and engaging with the communities right across the racial and religeous spectrum.
  • The Internet media
    Using the website to inform and educate. Contributions or suggestions are welcome and proposals can be sent to our Office.
  • Videos, cassetts, DVDs
    Supporters who have the interest and ability to produce, identify or procure videos, cassettes or DVDs which promotes SAZ ideals are encouraged to contact the SAZ Office with suggestions and offers of assistance.
  • Print media
    As the world’s media is often hostile towards Israel battling to survive in an antagonistic neighborhood, SAZ requires the assistance of supporters with the ability to counter anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda by writing informed, balanced and positive letters or articles to the press. Because such issues are usually very complex and require expertise in achieving the desired effect, supporters are encouraged to consult with the SAZ Co-Chairperson, David Abel, who is a former assistant editor of the Johannesburg Jewish Herald before submitting their contributions to various Newsletters. Assistance in the field will be much appreciated as the Palestinian/Arab propaganda machine are very active.

  • SAZ Newsletter
    Submit items and articles of interest to be incorporated into the SAZ bi-monthly newsletter. Subscribe those persons who may want to receive our free Newsletter.
  • Interactive bi-monthly members and open public meetings.
    Look out for emails, faxes, and advertisements notifying venues, dates and times of various SAZ meetings and make arrangements to attend regularly; offering practical assistance and/or moral support by being present; make suggestions to the executive committee regarding content. Creative persons such as musicians, orators, artists, vocalists and general handymen are welcome to come forward with their talents. People with specialized knowledge in any of the fields of endeavor undertaken by SAZ are encouraged to make their abilities known to the executive committee. Encourage friends and acquaintances who are positively disposed towards Israel to attend SAZ meetings and participate in activities.
  • Contact with communities across the racial and religious divide.
    Encourage the leaders and members of Jewish, Christian and other communities to make contact with the SAZ executive committee so that meetings can be set up to further understanding and co-operation. The same applies to faith organizations who are in harmony with SAZ principals and objectives.

  • Tours to Israel
    We are in the planning stages of putting together a Zionist Tour in Israel. Watch this space.
  • SAZ office and shop
    Watch this space for details of a SAZ office and a SAZ shop. Contact SAZ Office for ideas, proposals and how one can contribute and/or volunteer for service in the SAZ shop.
  • Prayer
    Pray for Divine intervention to assist Israel in its struggle to exist in peace among its neighbours according to Biblical prophecy.
