SAZ presents “The Case for Israel” at two venues in Port Elizabeth.
The SAZ team was warmly received at both venues, with many of the audience engaging enthusiastically and expressing great appreciation for the policies and work being undertaken voluntarily by SAZ members.
The P.E. Jewish community meeting at the Abraham Levy hall was organized by the community’s director, Michael Simmons; Rabbi Lev Tzion opened and closed the meeting in prayer; Leon van Zyl represented SAZ at the head table; Regardt Ferreira handled the screening of the DVD and the blowing of the shofar; while Christiana van Zyl and Helé de Beer organized the SAZ décor, the Kumi Ori exhibition
table and the reception area.
A crowd of over 300 greeted the SAZ team at 18h30 in the St. Marks Church. Rev. Dr. Bruce Woolard thanked the SAZ team for coming from George to promote the interest of Israel and gave his full support to efforts aimed at sustaining the Jewish State living in peace with its neighbours according to Biblical prophecy. He also expressed interest in developing a close relationship with SAZ in future – in particular fostering interaction between the SAZ Youth League and the St. Marks kibbutz in P.E. Individual relationships were enhanced over the coffee/tea periods at both meetings, advancing the SAZ brand.
